Site Survey 2010
The site we are in is site #7. There are 8 sites. First we will talk about our Riparian zone that is by the left bank looking down stream. We will tell you about the width of the left and right looking down stream was 0ft.-50ft. There are 4 types of trees we saw. We didn’t see any conifers or deciduous tree’s there either. We saw some shrubs, and we saw mostly grasses and herbs. The over head canopy covered 0%-25% of our site. The shade on the creek was made by a dead tree. Next is the channel of our site. The channel we have looks like U. There are three kinds of cross-sections a u, a flat and a v. (cool hu!)Then there’s the longitudinal pattern ours was braded there are three straight, braded and mending. Our gradient was monderent. There are three gradients low, moderent and steep. We are going to tell you 6 things about site seven. Are site is located by the eroded road and there is a steep hill that has a white stripe witch we think, means it is very, very, very, very old. We hope that you will enjoy reading are description of are site. First we will inform you about the riparian zone looking down stream. The riparian zone is the green area around the creek. On the right bank is 50-100ft. The left bank looking down stream is 0-50ft. At are site we had a lot of vegetation. We had 0% conifer, Deciduous sparse, Shrubs where abundant, last the grass was defiantly abundant. Second, are the shape in cross section is a U. Are site is gradient which means steep. A large section of are site creeks longitudinal pattern is meandering, but at the creek it is braided. A longitudinal could be straight, meandering, or braided.
