Site Survey Summary 09

We are going to tell you 6 things about site seven.
Are site is located by the eroded road and there is a steep hill that has a white stripe witch we think, means it is very, very, very, very old. We hope that you will enjoy reading are description of are site.




First we will inform you about the riparian zone looking down stream. The riparian zone is the green area around the creek. On the right bank is 50-100ft. The left bank looking down stream is 0-50ft. At are site we had a lot of vegetation. We had 0% conifer, Deciduous sparse, Shrubs where abundant, last the grass was defiantly abundant.
Second, are the shape in cross section is a U. Are site is gradient which means steep. A large section of are site creeks longitudinal pattern is meandering, but at the creek it is braided. A longitudinal could be straight, meandering, or braided. Braided means that there is a small piece of land in the water and that the water goes around it. Meandering means that a part of a creek is waving back and forth and does not go around any land. Straight means that it is just going straight with no land in the water and it is not waving.

Third I am going to tell you what kind of artificial structures that are site has. The only artificial structures that are site has is a road. The road is located on the side the creeks bank looking down stream. Looking up stream and there is the road.

The fourth thing we will tell you about is reach habitat .The reach habitat is the numbers of pools and riffles. The number of pools is 1. The percent the pool covers is 10% .The number of riffles is 1. The percent is 10%.Organic debris is dead plants and dead grass .Woody debris is dead wood in the water. You’re site has moderate

Fifth I will you about stream bank . The stream bank is the side of the bank that holds the dirt in place. Site seven is at a stream called Douglas creek. The town ship is 23 the range is 23. We are studying 100ft reach. You will learn 6 things about are site.
